Our COCOA JoURNEY

Step 3

Transplanting

The young cocoa seedlings are transported from the nursery site to the field for planting. The seedlings are highly vulnerable to damage during the transportation hence they are not overcrowded or over stacked. This then ensures that the seedlings are well covered and protected to avoid getting the seedlings twisted and soil spilling from the nursery bag.

The essence of nursery before transplanting is that, the seedlings are nurtured and by providing them with optimum growing conditions to ensure germination.
